Following an investment in a new print management system and an internal review of what and how we print – we set ourselves a significant goal for the year to ‘think before we print’, whilst setting our printers to default black and white print only.  The teams really got behind the initiative and smashed the target!

To celebrate this achievement we pledged, to begin a new and long term commitment, to support the new Yorkshire Forest Project to fund the planting of the trees.

During March the teams adorned their wellies, rolled up their sleeves and planted over 50 mature woodland trees.

“UK Greetings have supported the White Rose Forest this March by funding and planting a selection of mature trees at Dewsbury Country Park. As a company they understand their environmental impact and took a prudent and positive approach to do something about it. A really impressive company – we hope others will follow suit” said Peter Banks, Dewsbury Country Park Ranger. 

The Northern Forest is an ambitious, long-term plan led by The Woodland Trust, to plant 50 million trees in and around the cities of Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Hull.  [Read more].
