The History of the Henries
Named after Sir Henry Cole, who introduced the first commercially produced Christmas card in 1842, The Henries Awards have been the ultimate accolade in greeting card publishing since their inception by Progressive Greetings in 1996. Celebrating creative excellence and industry camaraderie, The Henries is the greeting card community’s ‘big night’. This year’s event, with a ‘Surf’s Up’ theme, will take place at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Thursday 1st October, and we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve reached the finals in five categories.
Henries Award Finalist Nominations 2026
We are thrilled to announce that we have not one, but two ranges shortlisted as finalists in the ‘Best Licensed Entertainment or Character Card Ranges’ category at this year’s Henries awards. Both our Mr Bean and Toy Story 5 ranges have earned a finalist spot!

Our Two of Us card range has been nominated as a finalist in the ‘Best Traditional Words and Sentiments’ category. Combining adorable character scenarios alongside heartfelt verses, The Two of Us has been specifically curated with romantic and couple captions in mind to reflect its name. It utilises invigorated rhymes that match the playful designs but still reflect the relationships in an authentic way.
Boofle, everyone’s favourite snugglesome pup, has been nominated as a finalist for the highly prestigious ‘Henry Cole Classic’ award, an award celebrating ranges that have stood the test of time.
