Photographic Greeting Cards

Photographs capture the moments we want to remember forever, freezing a memory so we can look back and reminisce.

Photographic greeting cards appeal to people on this same personal level. A reminder of time spent together, an image which strikes a chord, or just a perfect reflection of the recipient.

Camden Graphic Studio at UK Greetings has many established photographic greeting card ranges, RIBA, Camden Photographic, TATE and When I Grow Up, just to name a few, within its portfolio. The contemporary format of square cards with simple, understated, but strong photography has proven appeal.

Michelle Wood, Product Manager at Camden Graphics says, “We find that photographic greeting card ranges perform well for Camden because they make you smile or remind you of the recipient in some way”.

Photos are a versatile and popular send in greeting cards as they can be paired with any occasion, are ideally suited to all captions and cover all age groups and markets.

Kylie Davies, Product Manager at Camden Graphics says: “Animal imagery tends to work best for photographic. Animals can be cute, quirky and funny, and also show relationships which some subject matters cannot convey.”

Michelle, explains how the inspiration for photographic cards can come from anywhere: “We’re inspired by generic things we see every day, on our desks, signs we pass on the street or from personal experiences. Just talking about childhood experiences can create an entire photographic greeting card range.”

Within Gibson Cards, Carlton Cards and Forget Me Not captioned photographic greeting card designs, powerfully portray the feelings and emotions of the sender and the clever use of black and white or sepia, adds an emotive quality.

Amy Ireland, product manager states: “When accompanied by strong editorial, be that inspirational, poetic or conversational, photographic greeting card designs very often become excellent sellers.”

Hanson White also have a large assortment of photographic greeting cards within their humour collections. Out of the Ark continues to be a hit with is fabulous assortment of hilarious plasticine animals, and lightly risqué wit and the retro black and white photographs of the Say Cheese collection add variety with this quirky statement humour greeting cards.

Photography is a successful element across all brands at UK Greetings, where photographic designs continue to be great sellers with excellent appeal.
